مقدمه: با ابداع تلفنهای هوشمند و بهبود اتصال به اینترنت، استفاده از شبکههای اجتماعی بخشی ضروری از زندگی روزمرۀ افراد را تشکیل میدهد. پژوهش حاضر با هدف تعیین شیوع و عوامل همراه اعتیاد به شبکههای اجتماعی در میان کاربران اینترنت در ایران انجام شده است. روش کار: شرکت کنندگان 5360 نفر بودند که از طریق زمینهیابی آنلاین در این پژوهش شرکت کردند. اعتیاد به شبکههای اجتماعی از طریق آزمون اعتیاد به شبکههای اجتماعی (SNA-T) و عوامل همراه با شبکههای اجتماعی از طریق مقیاس استرس، اضطراب و افسردگی (DASS-21) اندازهگیری شد. از آمونهای آمار توصیفی و تحلیل رگرسیون لجستیک به منظور تحلیلهای آماری استفاده شد. یافته ها: مشخص شد که 7/29، 2/11 و 9/0 درصد افراد به ترتیب اعتیاد پایین، متوسط و شدید به شبکههای اجتماعی داشتند. همچنین نوجوانان و جوانان به صورت معناداری اعتیاد بالاتری به شبکههای اجتماعی نسبت به بزرگسالان داشتند. افرادی که سطوح بالایی از افسردگی، اضطراب و استرس داشتند، به طور معناداری اعتیاد بالاتری به شبکههای اجتماعی نسبت به افراد با سطوح پایین افسردگی، اضطراب و استرس داشتند (001/0P<). نتیجهگیری: یافتهها شیوع اعتیاد به شبکههای اجتماعی و همبودی با افسردگی، اضطراب و استرس را نشان میدهد. اعتیاد به شبکههای اجتماعی به عنوان تشخیص اولیه یا به عنوان پیامد دیگر اختلالات روان پزشکی، باید در مداخلات روان پزشکی و روان شناختی مورد توجه قرار گیرد.
