Fundamentals of Mental Health is a peer-reviewed, bimonthly, English publication of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS), Mashhad, Iran. The journal is published under the supervision of the psychiatric department of the University in the fields of psychiatry, psychology, mental health and behavioral sciences. This journal is approved by ‘The Medical Journals of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran. The journal has been published in English since 2015. 

This is an open-access journal, meaning that all content is freely available to the user or his/her institution without charge. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles or use them for any other lawful purpose without asking the publisher's or the author's prior permission. This is under the BOAI definition of open access.
