Aim and scope: Journal of Fundamentals of Mental Health is a peer-reviewed, bimonthly and English publication of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS), Mashhad, Iran. The journal is published under supervision of the psychiatric department of the University in the fields of psychiatry, psychology, mental health and behavioral sciences. This journal is approved by ‘Medical Journals of ministry of health and medical education of Iran. This journal has been published in English since 2015.
Open accessing: This is an open access journal, meaning that all content is freely available to the user or his/her institution without charge. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking the publisher's or the author's prior permission. This is by the BOAI definition of open access.
Policy: All Articles published in the “Journal of Fundamentals of Mental Health” are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC), which allows users, including authors of articles, to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, in addition to remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially, as long as the author and original source are properly cited or credited.

This journal does not charge authors for reviewing or publication.
Archives of data and articles: The articles published in the journal are archived in two ways: the PDF version of all the articles is online and available to readers on the journal's website. The published articles were preserved in eprints repository software. Also, the backup copy of the articles is kept in the computer of the journal's office so that in case of any problem on the journal's website, it is possible to access the PDF version of the articles.
