Mental disorders and especially anxiety in adolescence is important factor for low level of health, academic failure and risky behaviors. This study compared levels of anxiety in adolescent students in Mashhad, Northeastern part of Iran.  Materials and Methods: The study population was 340 students of rural and urban secondary school in Mashhad in 1385 who selected by stratified cluster random sampling and demographic characteristics, engaging in religious affairs, interested in education and their scores was assessed. Data collection was done by Spielberger Inventory (STAI) and was analyzed by t-test, chi-square and ANOVA.  Results: A total of 337 students with mean age of 16.5±1.3 years were assessed. 175 students of participants (52%) lived in rural areas. Severe levels of state and trait anxiety was seen in 23% and 19% of students respectively. In compare, anxiety levels were higher in rural students (P<0.01) and maximum anxiety was seen in rural students girls. Females (P=0.01), not interested in education courses (P=0.01) and irregular engaging in religious affairs (P=0.02) were associated with higher anxiety levels.  Conclusion: Findings of this study showed higher anxiety scores in girls especially in rural students. Screening for anxiety disorders and strategies for reducing anxiety, improving mental health and providing educational and recreational conditions in rural schools should be considered.  }, keywords = {: Adolescents,Anxiety,Rural,Students,Urban}, title_fa = {مقایسه ی سطح اضطراب در دانش آموزان دبیرستانی روستایی و شهری در مشهد}, abstract_fa = {تاثیر تغییرات سریع فرهنگی‌اجتماعی و افزایش اﺧﺘﻼﻻت عصبی‌رواﻧـﻲ در دنیا، این اﺧــﺘﻼﻻت را به دوﻣــﻴﻦ عامل ناتوانی تا ﺳــﺎل 2020 تبدیل نموده است. اﺧﺘﻼﻻت عصبی‌رواﻧـﻲ به ویژه اضطراب در نوجوانان، عامل مهمی در کاهش سلامتی، افت تحصیلی و اقدام به رفتارهای مخاطره‌آمیز است. این مطالعه به منظور بررسی سطح اضطراب دانش‌آموزان روستایی و شهری در مشهد انجام گرفت. روش‌کار: در این مطالعه‌ی مقطعی، تعداد 340 دانش‌آموز دبیرستانی روستایی و شهری مشهد در سال 1385 با نمونه‌گیری طبقاتی‌خوشه‌ای وارد پژوهش شدند و مشخصات جمعیت‌شناختی، نحوه‌ی انجام فرایض دینی، علاقه به تحصیل و وضعیت تحصیلی ایشان بررسی شد. داده‌ها توسط پرسش‌نامه‌ی اضطراب اشپیل‌برگر جمع‌آوری و با آزمون‌های تحلیل واریانس، تی و مجذور خی تحلیل شدند. یافته‌ ها: در مجموع 337 نفر دانش‌آموز با میانگین سنی 3/1±5/16 سال بررسی شدند. از شرکت‌کنندگان 175 نفر (52%) ساکن روستا بودند. اضطراب حالت و صفت به درجات شدید به ترتیب در 23 و 19 درصد دانش‌آموزان مشاهده شد. در دانش‌آموزان روستایی میزان اضطراب بالاتر از شهر بود (001/0P<) و حداکثر میانگین نمره‌ی اضطراب در دختران روستایی دیده شد. دختر بودن (01/0=P)، بی‌علاقگی به رشته‌ی تحصیلی (01/0=P) و عدم انجام منظم فرایض دینی (02/0=P) با سطح اضطراب بالاتر همراه بود. نتیجه ‌گیری: بر اساس یافته‌های پژوهش، میزان اضطراب در دختران و به ویژه دانش‌آموزان جامعه‌ی روستایی بیشتر بود. لذا غربالگری اختلالات اضطرابی و راهکارهای ارتقای سلامت روان، فراهم‌سازی شرایط آموزشی و تفریحی مناسب در مدارس روستایی باید مورد توجه قرار گیرد.    }, keywords_fa = {اضطراب,دانش آموزان,روستا,شهر,نوجوانان}, url = {https://jfmh.mums.ac.ir/article_888.html}, eprint = {https://jfmh.mums.ac.ir/article_888_290f61cc6e155ba3704f756b7ff2e271.pdf} }
