مقدمه: تحقیق حاضر با هدف تعیین اثربخشی درمان شناختی-رفتاری بر افسردگی و رضایت از زندگی مادران دارای کودک بستری در بیمارستان روانپزشکی انجام شد. روشکار: جامعه آماری این پژوهش بالینی شامل تمامی مادران شهر مشهد دارای کودک بستری در بیمارستان روانپزشکی ابنسینا هستند. نمونه آماری شامل 30 نفر بود که به صورت تصادفی در گروههای شاهد و آزمون قرار گرفتند. جهت آموزش گروه آزمون، از پروتکل درمانی شناختی-رفتاری (10 جلسه 90 دقیقهای) و جهت گردآوری اطلاعات از پرسشنامههای افسردگی بک و رضایت از زندگی داینر (1985) استفاده شد. دادهها با استفاده از آمار توصیفی (میانگین و انحراف معیار) و استنباطی (تحلیل کوواریانس) با استفاده از نرمافزار آماری SPSS نسخه 22 مورد تحلیل قرار گرفتند. یافتهها: درمان شناختی-رفتاری به صورت معنیداری موجب کاهش افسردگی و افزایش رضایت از زندگی در بین مادران گروه آزمون نسبت به گروه شاهد گردیده است (05/0>P) که اثر آن در طی دوره پیگیری نیز ماندگار بوده است. نتیجهگیری: یافتههای تحقیق حاضر حاکی از آن است که درمان شناختی-رفتاری بر افسردگی و رضایت از زندگی مادران دارای کودک بستری در بیمارستان روانپزشکی تاثیر مثبتی دارد.
