Children with epilepsy in comparison to healthy children are more at risk for behavorial and cognitive disorders. In this study we examined the depression and anxiety in children with epilepsy compared to healthy control group.Materials and Methods: This case-control study was conducted on patients who referred to child and adolescent psychiatric clinics of Dr. Sheykh and Ibn-e-Sina Hospitals in Mashhad (Iran) during 2015-2016. In this study 30 epileptic children aged 8-12 years and 30 healthy children with the same age and gender were selected. Depression–anxiety symptoms were measured by Children Depression Inventory (CDI), Children's Behavioral Issues List (CBCL) tests and demographic data. The major stressors and information about characteristics of epilepsy were achieved by questionnaire. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, chi-square, Fisher's exact tests, independent t-test and U Mann-Whitney tests by using SPSS version 16.0.Results: According to the findings, level of depression and anxiety symptoms in epileptic children were higher than healthy children (P=0.01). There was no significant relation between mother's age, number of used medications and duration of taking medication and depression and anxiety in epileptic children.Conclusion: Based on the results, epileptic children have the higher Frequency of depression and anxiety than the healthy children. However the frequency of depression and anxiety in epileptic children was independent to number of medications, duration of taking medications and mother's age.}, keywords = {Anxiety,Children,Depression,Epilepsy}, title_fa = {افسردگی و اضطراب در کودکان دچار صرع: یک مطالعه مورد شاهدی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: صرع، بیماری مزمنی است که بر عملکرد و رفتار کودک تاثیر میگذارد. کودکان مبتلا به صرع در مقایسه با کودکان سالم، بیشتر در خطر ابتلا به اختلالات رفتاری و شناختی هستند. در این تحقیق، افسردگی و اضطراب در کودکان مبتلا به صرع را در مقایسه با گروه شاهد بررسی کردیم.روشکار: در این مطالعه مورد شاهدی در کلینیک روانپزشکی کودکان و نوجوانان بیمارستانهای شیخ و ابنسینا مشهد در سالهای 1395-1394، 30 کودک مبتلا به صرع 8 تا 12 ساله و 30 کودک سالم با سن و جنسیت مشابه انتخاب شدند. علایم افسردگی-اضطراب توسط جدول افسردگی کودکان (CDI) و تستهای لیست مشکلات رفتاری کودکان (CBCL) و دادههای جمعیتشناختی اندازهگیری شدند. عوامل استرسزای اصلی و اطلاعات مربوط به مشخصات صرع توسط پرسشنامه به دست آمدند. دادهها با آزمونهای آماری توصیفی و مجذور خی، دقیق فیشر، تی مستقل و آزمون یو مان-ویتنی با استفاده از نرمافزار SPSS نسخه 16 تحلیل شدند.یافتهها: طبق نتایج، میزان علایم افسردگی و اضطراب در کودکان مبتلا به صرع بیشتر از کودکان سالم بود (01/0=P). رابطه معنیداری بین سن مادر، تعداد داروهای مصرفی و مدت زمان مصرف دارو و افسردگی و اضطراب در کودکان مبتلا به صرع وجود نداشت.نتیجهگیری: در کودکان مبتلا به صرع نسبت به کودکان سالم، رخداد افسردگی و اضطراب بیشتر بود. اگر چه این رخداد در کودکان مبتلا به صرع، مستقل از تعداد داروهای مصرفی، طول مصرف داروها و سن مادر بود.}, keywords_fa = {افسردگی,اضطراب,صرع,کودک}, url = {https://jfmh.mums.ac.ir/article_13718.html}, eprint = {https://jfmh.mums.ac.ir/article_13718_3bcd4eb6034dc95eb47e1848d5f68db7.pdf} }
