The aim of the present study is to compare psychopathological profile of applicants for plastic surgery with normal population.  Materials and Methods: In this cross sectional, case-control study, samples were selected through convenient sampling; 50 subjects who  were between 18 to 45 years old, were selected among applicants for cosmetic surgery and compared with 50 matched controls. The subjects were assessed with Millon Clinical Multi-axial Inventory-III that has 175 true-false questions. MANOVA was used to compare two groups.  Results: Results demonstrated that group of applicants for cosmetic surgery, gothigh scores in depressed, histrionic, narcissistic, compulsive, masochism, borderline and schizotypal scales of personality profile; They got also high scores in anxiety, somatoform, alcoholism, thought disorder and major depression scales (among clinical symptom and severe symptom indexes) (P<0.05).  Conclusion: Applicants for plastic surgery have some differences in clinical personality profile and show some clinical psychiatric symptoms, comparing with control group. These symptoms and personality characters may affect them, seeking help by cosmetic surgery. Therefore pre-operative psychological assessment could help to assess clinical and personality profile and identify any personality or psychiatric disorder in these patients. It is helpful for these patients to be referred for psychological assessment before surgery.    }, keywords = {Personality disorders,Plastic surgery,psychiatric disorders}, title_fa = {بررسی نیمرخ آسیب شناسی روانی در متقاضیان جراحی پلاستیک}, abstract_fa = {بر اساس پژوهش‌های صورت گرفته توسط انجمن جراحان پلاستیک، میزان اختلالات و آسیب‌های روانی در میان متقاضیان جراحی زیبایی بیشتر از افراد عادی است. مطالعه‌ی حاضر به منظور مقایسه‌ی نیمرخ آسیب‌شناسی روانی بین جمعیت عادی و متقاضیان جراحی پلاستیک انجام گرفت. روش‌کار: در این مطالعه‌ی توصیفی مقطعی با روش نمونه‌گیری قضاوتی در زمستان 1388 نمونه‌ای با حجم 50 نفر از میان متقاضیان جراحی پلاستیک مراجعه‌کننده به چند کلینیک جراحی زیبایی شهر تهران انتخاب شدند که در دامنه‌ی سنی 18 تا 45 سال قرار داشتند و با 50 نفر از همراهان این افراد به عنوان گروه شاهد که از لحاظ برخی متغیرهای جمعیت‌شاختی با یکدیگر همتا شده بودند، مقایسه شدند. برای گردآوری داده‌ها از پرسش‌نامه‌ی 175 سئوالی چند محوری بالینی میلون (MCMI-III) استفاده شد. داده‌ها با استفاده از تحلیل واریانس چند متغیره تحلیل شدند. یافته‌ ها: نتایج پژوهش نشان داد که جویندگان جراحی پلاستیک در مقیاس‌های افسرده، نمایشی، خودشیفته، وسواسی، خودآزار، مرزی و اسکیزوتایپال از میان شاخص‌های مربوط به الگوهای بالینی شخصیت نمرات بالاتری داشتند. هم‌چنین از میان شاخص‌های مربوط به نشانگان بالینی نیز در مقیاس‌های اضطراب، شبه جسمی، وابستگی به الکل، اختلال تفکر و افسردگی اساسی نمرات آنان بالاتر از جمعیت عادی بود (در سطح 05/0P<). نتیجه‌ گیری: متقاضیان جراحی‌های زیبایی تفاوت‌هایی در مقیاس‌های شخصیت و نشانگان بالینی با گروه شاهد داشتند که شاید آن‌ها را به سمت جراحی زیبایی سوق داده است. ارزیابی‌های روان‌شناختی در تعیین نیمرخ بالینی متقاضیان، شناسایی اختلالات شخصیت و روان‌پزشکی و ارجاع آن‌ها قبل از اجرای اعمال جراحی به روان‌درمانی، مفید و کمک‌کننده است  }, keywords_fa = {اختلال شخصیت,اختلال روان پزشکی,جراحی پلاستیک}, url = {https://jfmh.mums.ac.ir/article_1010.html}, eprint = {https://jfmh.mums.ac.ir/article_1010_c1874a469ffddcdfb4b8852d25d93f73.pdf} }
