Introduction: Pregnancy distress is a particular type of stress which refers to maternal fears and distress about pregnancy including distress about fetus health, physical symptoms, parenting, relationships with others and childbirth. The present study aimed to predict pregnancy distress based on the emotional self-disclosure and self-regulation.Materials and Methods: The statistical population of this descriptive study included all pregnant women referred to a pregnancy care centers in June 2016, among whom 240 were selected based on convenient sampling. The questionnaires of pregnancy distress, emotional self-disclosure, and self-regulation were used for collecting data. The collected data were analyzed by using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. Results: The results indicated a significant relationship between pregnancy distress and emotional self-disclosure subscales such as depression (r= -0.793), happiness (r= -0.121), jealousy (r= -0.13), anxiety (r= 0.317), relaxation (r= -0.224), fear (r= -0.518), and emotional self-regulation sub-scales such as prior-focused regulation strategies (r= -0.214) and response-focused regulation strategies (r= -0.317). Based on the results of multiple regression among emotional self-disclosure dimensions of depression, fear at the negative level of 0.01 and jealousy at the positive level of 0.05 could predict pregnancy distress. Further, prior-focused self-regulation strategies played a significant role in predicting pregnancy distress at the level of 0.05.Conclusion: According to the results, emotional self-discourse and self-regulation can predict pregnancy distress. The results can have a considerable effect to inform pregnant women about the effects of emotional self-disclosure and self-regulation skills on the pregnancy distress.

Introduction: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common disorders in children, but so far little attention has been paid to the fathers of these children and what they experience. This study aimed to provide a deeper understanding of life experiences of Iranian fathers with ADHD preschoolers.Materials and Methods: A qualitative design using phenomenological approach was chosen as the research method. It consisted of 9 fathers with 4-6 years old children suffering from ADHA, who were recruited through purposive sampling until saturation was reached. Information was collected through in-depth interview. Colaizzi method was used to analyze the interviews. Results: The essential structure of fathers' experiences was "constant exposure to daily challenges", which included the following main categories: ups and downs of effective behavior management, dissatisfaction with mental health services, and undesirable interactions. Number of 24 cases selected through convenient method and they assigned randomly into two experimental and control groups after evaluation. Group behavioral activation therapy sessions were performed only for experimental group in 8 sessions of 90 minutes. Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN), Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), Short Form Scale of Quality of Life (IRQOL), Consequences of Negative Social Events Questionnaire (CNSEQ) by Wilson and Rapee, before and after, and 3 months after group therapy with behavioral activation approach were evaluated for follow up. The statistical analysis of the current research data conducted using repeated measures of variance analysis method. Results: The results of the data suggest that behavioral activation in post-therapy and follow-up stages had a significant correlation with reduction of fear and avoidance (of social anxiety component) and the component of depression and both the sub-components of fear of negative evaluation (P<0.05), and improvement of psychological components, however, there was no significant effect on physiological discomfort and social relationships and satisfaction from the status of life and physical health. Introduction: Considering the interactions between depression and anxiety on the increase in blood glucose in diabetic patients and the need for intervention to improve these variables, the aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of Lazarus multimodal therapy on reducing the symptoms of depression, anxiety and glycemic control in women with type 2 diabetes.Materials and Methods: In this study, which was performed on women with type 2 diabetes with high score in depression and anxiety and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C) level more than 7%, 24 subjects who entered the study were selected by convenient method and they were randomly assigned into two groups of experimental and control (each group included 12 subjects). Research instrument include Beck Depression Inventory-II, Beck Anxiety Inventory and glycosylated hemoglobin. The experimental group was trained at Lazarus multimodal psychotherapy group workshop for three months (12 weekly ninety-minute sessions) in the spring and summer of 2016 at Samen Health Center- Mashhad. The control group was in the waiting list. Also, multivariate analysis of covariance analysis was used to analyze the data through SPSS software. Results: The results of this study showed that Lazarus multidimodal therapy significantly (P=0.001) reduced the symptoms of depression, anxiety and decreased blood glucose levels in women with type 2 diabetes compared to control group. Conclusion: Totally based on the findings, Lazarus multidimodal therapy can be effective to reduce the symptoms of anxiety, depression and physical symptoms among diabetic patients.
